Before inviting friends, check what they will use to play. Edition, version, device and the server's actual joining method matter more than a broad promise of “cross-platform.”
Understand the starting point
Minecraft Java and Bedrock are different editions. Geyser is a separate bridging project that allows Bedrock clients to connect to supported Java server setups. That does not mean every Java server, mod or custom feature works with every Bedrock client.
Ask for the real instructions
Confirm the server address, the edition-specific port if needed, supported versions and any account requirements. Console joining options can differ from PC and mobile. Use the published joining guide rather than assuming a connection method shown in an old video still applies.
Test the experience as well as the connection
Once connected, try the actions your group cares about. Menus, text, custom content and controls may behave differently across devices. Record a concrete issue with the edition and version instead of assuming that the whole bridge is broken.
For ZEISMO's community, use the current guide at https://zeismoplay.com/play#join. Other directory listings are independently operated and may have different requirements.
Technical compatibility changes over time. Check current project documentation before planning a setup around a specific combination of versions.
